Is cycling in Jamaica Safe?

Road Cycling in Jamaica is an exhilarating experience surrounding by mountains and beaches. Traveling through parish towns immersed in roots and culture, we cycle on the soft shoulder of smoothly paved roads alongside traffic.

At Super Fowl Cycling Tours we use the two abreast cycling formation. Our lead tour guide, Master Cyclist Fowly, and our team of licensed and certified tour guides are positioned on the outside perimeter closest to traffic.

Behind the cycling group, our support vehicle follows closely, monitoring, controlling and signaling to the traffic on when to pass the cycling group.

A group of cyclists riding two abreast allows drivers to respect cyclists on the road, making it less likely that they will be hit from behind. The main reason is to make sure that drivers give them enough room when overtaking.

Master Cyclist Fowly, controls the front of the group with cycling signals, and constant directions to the group.

Instructions are given each morning before the ride. Following instructions clearly while being aware of all five senses will ensure your safety. Focus! Focus! Focus!

At Super Fowl Cycling Tours safety is our number one priority and every detail of our tours addresses safety seriously!
